Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing seeks a skilled Electrophysiology Lab RN for a 30-week travel assignment in Seattle, WA. Join a dedicated clinical team and enjoy competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and strong support throughout the assignment.

The EP Lab RN will perform assessments, assist with studies and device implants, monitor rhythms, and ensure safe, effective care from pre-procedure through post-procedure recovery. Must have EP RN experience, current RN license, and BLS/ACLS certifications.

Qualifications

  • One year’s recent experience as an Electrophysiology Lab RN.
  • Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
  • Current BLS (AHA/ ARC) Certification.
  • Current ACLS Certification.

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive nursing assessments for EP lab patients and document findings accurately.
  • Educate patients and families on electrophysiology procedures, pre-procedure expectations, and post-procedure care to ensure understanding and informed consent.
  • Assist physicians with electrophysiology studies, ablations, and device implantations.
  • Administer medications, including conscious sedation, per physician orders.
  • Monitor cardiac rhythms, hemodynamics, and patient responses throughout procedures.
  • Identify and respond to changes in patient condition, escalating care as needed.
  • Maintain sterile technique and assist with equipment preparation, setup, and troubleshooting to support seamless procedural workflow.
  • Collaborate with the care team to develop and implement patient-centered treatment plans.
  • Provide immediate post-procedure care, monitoring complications and ensuring stable recovery.
  • Adhere to hospital safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of practice

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Electrophysiology Lab RN for a 30-week travel assignment in Seattle, Washington. Required Qualifications:
  • One year’s recent experience as an Electrophysiology Lab RN
  • Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
  • Current BLS (AHA/ ARC) Certification
  • Current ACLS Certification
Preferred Qualifications:
  • PALS or ENPCR
  • CES/RCIS Certification
  • Other certifications and licenses may be required for this position

The Electrophysiology (EP) Lab RN plays a key role treating patients with heart failure, coronary artery disease, valvular heart disease, and cardiac arrhythmias. Working alongside electrophysiologists, they assist with arrhythmia ablations, pacemaker and defibrillator implants, and medication-based treatments. The EP Lab RN is responsible for patient assessments, procedural support, conscious sedation, and post-procedure monitoring to ensure safe, effective care.

Required Essential Skills:

  • The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language
  • Ability to read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skills
Physical Abilities
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50-100lbs), push, pull, and bend
Interpersonal Skills
  • Must be able to work effectively with a variety of personnel (professional and ancillary) to present a positive attitude and professionalism
Technical/Motor Skills
  • Must have the ability to grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment
Mental Requirements
  • Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure.
  • Must be able to work under close supervision occasionally, as well as working without assistance from other personnel.
  • Must be able to contend with irregular activity schedules occasionally and continuous concentration to detail
Sensory
  • Must possess visual acuity and ability to effectively communicate
