PEL/VIP seeks a travel nurse RN for the ED in Rockford, Illinois. The assignment is 13 weeks long with 36 hours per week, twelve-hour rotating shifts, and availability ASAP.

The ideal ER nurse has acute care experience, BLS/ACLS/PALS, and neonatal/trauma readiness. Weekend and holiday rotations apply, with a competitive gross weekly pay and potential stipends.

Qualifications

• Active IL RN Licensure.
• BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications required.
• NIHSS and TNCC (or TNS) certifications preferred.
• Graduate of accredited nursing program; education verification required.

Responsibilities

• Utilize nursing processes and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to care for patients.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments per policy.
• Document patient care according to standards.
• Perform assessments, planning, intervention, and evaluation of care.
• Develop and execute patient plans of care as prescribed by physicians.
• Participate in department performance improvement activities.
• Provide clinical guidance to other units as needed.
• Use critical thinking to ensure patient safety and escalate concerns.
• Engage in professional nursing continuity and peer review.

Assignment Overview

We are seeking an experienced ER RN to work in an Emergency Department setting. The ideal candidate will have experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center and will be assigned to float to the Emergency Department at our Freeport, IL hospital location.

Assignment Details

• Shift: Evening / Night Shift (12-hour shifts)
• Weekend and holiday rotation required
• Estimated gross weekly pay package: $2484 (negotiable)

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to care for patients
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments according to approved nursing techniques and policies
• Document patient care according to standards
• Perform assessments, planning, intervention, and evaluation of care
• Develop and execute patient plans of care as prescribed by the physician
• Participate in department performance improvement activities
• Provide clinical expertise and guidance to other units in support of the patient’s plan of care
• Utilize critical thinking concerning patient safety and escalated concerns as needed
• Participate in the professional nursing continuum process and peer review

Qualifications
