Job Summary:
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse opportunity in a busy acute care setting located near Seattle. This position involves providing culturally competent care to a highly diverse patient population with a focus on trauma and emergency protocols. The role requires adaptability to variable shifts and collaborating within a multidisciplinary team to meet patient care needs.

Job Details

• Schedule: Rotating shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week and shifts totaling 12 hours. The start date is 09/28/2026, with an end date of 01/11/2027.
• Required Qualifications: Valid licensure, certificated in ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC, with a minimum of 2 years of ER experience, including 1+ year in a trauma center, and prior travel experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with EPIC electronic health record system, familiarity with RT equipment including ventilators, Cpap, BiPap, and ability to draw ABGs and provide breathing treatments.
• Additional Information: The ER has 55 beds plus 8-12 swing beds, including trauma bays, and a dedicated triage area accessible after orientation and competency testing. Staff manage their own ER holds, and the unit features a separate psych/seclusion area with 24/7 monitoring. The unit maintains a nurse-to-patient ratio of 4:1 for main ER, 5:1 for fast track, and 2:1 for critical care. Certification in ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, and TNCC is mandatory.
