American Traveler seeks an experienced RN for an ED/Med-Surg role in Webster, SD. Requires 3 years ER/Med-Surg, ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC; Epic EMR experience preferred. 12h night shifts, 36 hours weekly, travel contract.

Position in a Critical Access Hospital with floating between units. Local candidates within 80 miles may be considered with pay adjustments. Orientation tailored for travelers.

Responsibilities

• Work in a Critical Access Hospital with a combined ED/Med-Surg unit.
• Acute care setting with 10 patient rooms and average 4 patients daily.
• Patients include med/surg, outpatient and ED cases.
• Nurse-to-patient ratio 1:2 to 1:3, max 1:6.
• Equipment includes EPIC EMR, Philips central monitor/telemetry, Lifepak 15.
• Nights, 12-hour shifts with every other weekend.
• Floating daily between med/surg, outpatient and ED for minimum staffing.
• Orientation tailored to traveler needs with day and night shadow shifts.
• RNs may serve as charge nurse when needed.
• IV starts and Foley catheter insertion performed by RNs.
• Team: 2 RNs with a PCT or LPN support.
• Travelers with Sanford Health background require at least 6-month gap.
• Local candidates within 80 miles may be considered with pay adjustment.

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department/Med-Surg position requiring 3 years of ER and Med-Surg experience and ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications.

• Nights, 12-hour shifts with every other weekend required
• Floating daily between med/surg, outpatient, and emergency department as part of minimum staffing of 2 RNs and typically a PCT or LPN
• Orientation tailored to traveler needs, including day and night shadow shifts
• RNs are expected to be able to work in the ER and cover as charge nurse when needed
• RNs perform procedures such as IV starts and foley catheter insertion
• Team structure includes 2 RNs with support from a PCT or LPN
• Travelers who previously worked for Sanford Health must have an employment gap of at least 6 months prior to consideration
• Local candidates within 80 miles are accepted but are eligible for a pay adjustment

Requirements

• Active SD or Compact RN license
• Minimum 3 years of RN experience, including at least 2 years in ER and 2 years in Med-Surg
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC
• EPIC EMR experience preferred
• Critical Access Hospital experience preferred but not required
