ARMStaffing is seeking a travel nurse RN for the ED in Mount Pleasant, Texas. The assignment runs for 13 weeks with a 36-hour workweek and 12-hour night shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM.

The RN must be licensed in TX (or a compact license) with BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications. A BSN is preferred and 1 year of ER/related experience is desirable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred.
• 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty preferred.
• BLS (AHA) certification.
• ACLS (AHA) certification.
• PALS (AHA) certification.
• TNCC certification.
• RN license in TX or a compact license.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care utilizing the nursing process for assigned patients.
• Administers medications and treatments; monitors for side effects and effectiveness of prescribed treatment.
• Documents patient history, symptoms, medication, and care given.
• Assesses learning needs and provides education to patients, family members, and/or caregivers; identifies issues and resources.
• Leads and delegates within the clinical team to manage patient care.

Job Description

The competent Nurse, in the same or similar clinical setting, practices independently and demonstrates an awareness of all relevant aspects of a situation. Provides routine and complex care, with the ability to focus on long-range goals or plans. Continues to develop the ability to cope with and manage contingencies of clinical nursing. Makes appropriate assignments and delegates to other care providers as a means to help manage the clinical situation.

Responsibilities

• Consistent with the ANA Scope and Standards of Practice, provides nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients.
• Addresses increasingly complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families in accordance with their level of practice.
• Using the appropriate protocol, administers medications and treatments; monitors for side effects and effectiveness of the prescribed treatment.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
