Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN for an Electrophysiology (EP) Lab assignment in Bridgeport, CT. The role is a 13-week travel engagement with 40 hours per week, 10-hour day shifts.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of EP Lab experience and current ACLS/BLS certifications. You will support physicians, manage equipment, and assist in diagnostic and therapeutic cardiac procedures in a fast-paced EP lab.

Qualifications

• EP Lab RN experience (1+ years) in EP Lab preferred.
• ACLS and BLS required; additional certifications may be required.

Responsibilities

• Learn complex EP lab technologies and equipment.
• Assist physicians with diagnostic and therapeutic cardiac procedures.
• Assist with ablations, pacemaker and defibrillator implants, cardioversions and loop recorder implants.
• Assist with diagnostic studies such as cardiac mapping and EP studies.

We're looking for Registered Nurses (RN) for an immediate travel opening in Bridgeport, CT for our Electrophysiology(EP) Lab.

The right RN should have at least 1 year of experience in an EP Lab setting. Read below for more details.

As an EP Lab RN, you'll work with a highly skilled team of medical professionals in the EP lab providing assistanceto the physician, including maintaining and monitoring of equipment, as well as assisting with therapeutic anddiagnostic procedures.

As an EP Lab Travel Nurse, you should be prepared to perform the following tasks:

• Learn complex technologies effectively
• Assist physicians with procedures that diagnose and treat heart rhythm problems
• Assist with ablations, pacemaker and defibrillator implants, cardioversions, loop recorder implants andmore
• Assist with diagnostic studies such as cardiac mapping and EP studies

EP Lab Travel Nurses should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean and stoopwithout difficulty. RNs should be able to easily lift 20 pounds. Moving or lifting of patients may require lifting of upto 50 pounds at times. Because of the fast-paced environment, EP Lab Travel Nurses must possess good skills forcoping with stress and be able to relate to people of all ages and backgrounds.

Requirements*: ACLS, BLS, 2 Years Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
