Job Summary

Electrophysiology (EP) Lab Specialist position available in the outpatient clinical environment. This role involves providing specialized support in invasive Cardiology procedures, including complex coronary interventions, ventricular assist device (VAD)/ECMO, structural heart procedures such as TAVR, PFO/ASD closure, and advanced electrophysiology interventions like ablations and pacemaker/ICD implantation. The position requires working days with a schedule of 10-hour shifts, operating from 6:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with an expectation to stay until patient care responsibilities are complete.

Job Details

• Schedule: Day shift - WILL WORK 10-HOUR SHIFTS BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 6AM-7PM; must be okay to stay until last patient is cared for; call may be required.
• Required Qualifications: 2 years of experience in Electrophysiology (EP) Lab, certifications in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS), valid Pennsylvania or Compact License, EPIC electronic health record experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience with charting systems, community hospital experience, and familiarity with complex cardiovascular procedures.
• Holidays: Travelers will be expected to work 2 of the upcoming 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving Day/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, New Years Eve/New Years Day). If only two holidays occur during the contract, plan for one holiday work; requests for more than one holiday off are not permitted.
• Additional Information: This unit performs over 6,000 procedures annually, including advanced cardiovascular treatments such as complex coronary interventions, VAD/ECMO, structural heart therapies, and electrophysiology procedures like ablations and pacemaker/ICD insertions. The role may include caring for COVID-19 patients. Candidate must pass a pre-start EKG exam within 72 hours, with additional attempts at manager discretion.
