Job summary

Commonwealth Healthcare LLC in Concord, MA is seeking a travel EEG Technologist for a 13-week assignment, working 40 hours per week with 8-hour shifts, ASAP start.

The EEG Technologist will perform standard EEGs and related neurological testing, educate patients and families, manage scheduling and clerical tasks, participate in CQI initiatives, and help maintain testing quality and equipment compliance in both in-patient and outpatient settings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Graduate of a two-year EEG and/or Evoked Potential Testing program recognized by ABRET preferred.
• BLS, EEGT, R.EEGT, R.EPT required.

Responsibilities

• Performs Standard EEGs, Auditory and Visual Evoked Response, and related testing for in-patients and outpatients.
• Educates the patient and family about the testing process.
• Performs clerical duties including scheduling, billing, and filing reports.
• Participates in CQI initiatives and department education/training.
• Maintains test quality and handles testing equipment.

1.PerformsStandardEEG’s,AuditoryandVisualEvokedResponse,Median-TibialSomato-sensorytestingasindividualtestsor“FullBattery”whichcomprisesalloftheabove(exceptEEG).Theseareperformedonin-patientsandoutpatientsofallagesinaccordancewithEmersonHospitalandNeurologyDepartmentalpoliciesandProcedures.

2.TechnologiststrainedandcertifiedinEPTwillperformstandardEEGtesting.EEGtechnologistswhoarenottrained/certifiedtodoso,shallnotperformEPT.

3.Educatesthepatient/patientfamilyonthetestingprocess.

4.Performsclericaldutiesasrequiredincludingscheduling,billing,andfilingreports.

MinimumQualifications

Education:
