Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Travel RN for the Emergency Department at a Chicago area facility. IL RN license and at least 2 years ED experience are required, along with BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIH Stroke Scale certification.

The role involves nights on a 12-hour schedule, 36 hours per week, with 13-week assignment and start around Oct 5, 2026. EPIC EMR experience is preferred, no floating, and a flexible weekend rotation.

Qualifications

• Active IL RN license required.
• BLS, NIH Stroke Scale, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.
• TNCC certification preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience required.
• Strong IV skills and cardiac rhythm interpretation required.
• EPIC EMR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced ED.
• Backed by charge nurse and ED support staff.
• Flexible to work 7 days a week with a 12-hour night shift.
• Orientation includes unit educator and preceptor.
• Utilize EPIC EMR for charting.
