Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Travel RN for Emergency Department in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The position requires an active WI or compact RN license and ED experience, with 36 hours per week and 12-hour day shifts. Responsibilities include triage, stabilization, and potential travel to nearby EDs.

Epic experience preferred; BLS/ACLS/PALS and TNCC required. Travel benefits and stipends apply. Pay and offers are tailored to shifts and local radius rules; local candidates may receive a reduced wage.

Qualifications

• Active WI or compact RN license required.
• 3+ years ED experience with travel or 5+ years in a large ED.
• Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• TNCC certification required.
• Nursys license verification within 30 days prior to start.
• Must possess a US SSN and US home address.
• Copy of Driver’s License required for consideration.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital Emergency Department setting.
• Night shift schedule from 11:00 to 23:30 with flexibility as needed.
• Care for a diverse, high-acuity emergency patient population.
• Must work every other weekend and every other holiday.
• May float onsite within skill set or to sites within 40 miles if needed.
• Uses Epic for electronic charting; Epic experience required.
• Provide direct emergency nursing care including triage and stabilization.
• May float to other emergency departments within a 40-mile radius as needed.
• Weekend and holiday coverage required on an alternating basis.
• Facility accepts local candidates at a reduced pay rate according to local radius rules.
