SpecialtyCare is seeking an ECMO Specialist to operate and maintain ECMO circuits for patients needing cardiopulmonary support. You will work under supervision by an ECMO physician, ensuring safety and continuity of the ECMO circuit.
Responsibilities include initiating ECMO, monitoring circuits, adjusting pump and gas flows, and collaborating with the physician, perfusionist and nursing staff. Also, you will help with anticoagulation, blood products and documentation under standing orders.
As an ECMO (Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation) Specialist you will operate and maintain ECMO circuits for patients requiring long-term pulmonary and/or cardiopulmonary support. The ECMO Specialist functions interdependently following standing ECMO orders and parameters under the direction and clinical supervision by of an ECMO physician.
