Job summary

MedPro Healthcare Allied Staffing is seeking a travel Echo Technologist in Urbana, Illinois. This contract role offers 13 weeks at 40 hours per week with 8-hour shifts in a Non-Invasive Cardiology setting.

Requirements include accredited training in cardiac technology and cardiac ultrasound, plus interpretation skills and a dedicated echocardiography program graduate. Weekly pay and credentialing support are provided.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of an accredited training course in cardiac technology.
• Successful completion of an accredited training course in cardiac ultrasound.
• Interpretation skills to facilitate a comprehensive examination and an accurate preliminary interpretation.
• Graduate of cardiac echocardiography technology program.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patient for examination and perform 2D echoes, M-mode and Doppler studies.
• Prepare preliminary interpretation of those studies.
• Prepare and maintain records for echo studies.
• Assist supervising physicians with training of residents, fellows, faculty and other physicians.
• Knowledge of multiple echocardiography platforms and technology.
• Read, interpret, apply, and follow physicians' orders and policies.

• Under the direction of the supervising physicians in the Non-Invasive Cardiology Lab, prepares patient for examination, performs all 2-dimensional echoes, M-mode and Doppler studies.
