Job summary

Bestica is seeking a travel Echo-Vascular Technician for a 13-week assignment in Murray, Utah. The role involves inpatient cardiac imaging with three 12-hour day shifts totaling 36 hours per week, starting November 16, 2026.

The position offers travel-related benefits and opportunities to work with a multidisciplinary team in a hospital setting. Responsibilities include performing transthoracic echocardiograms, using contrast agents as needed, and ensuring patient safety and comfort.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED from a recognized institution.
• At least one relevant cardiac or vascular sonography registry or credential beyond physics, as applicable.
• Current BLS certification for healthcare providers.
• ARDMS or CCI certification in cardiac or vascular sonography, as required.
• At least one year of relevant experience.
• Experience performing diagnostic ultrasound examinations and following safety protocols.
• Strong technical, communication, documentation, and patient care skills.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize, coordinate, and schedule diagnostic examinations with physicians and staff.
• Perform high-quality ultrasound and echocardiography examinations per protocols.
• Conduct adult transthoracic echocardiograms with contrast and bubble studies.
• Prepare patients, verify ID, explain procedures, and ensure comfort and safety.
• Operate imaging equipment to obtain accurate diagnostic images.
• Monitor patient condition and ensure safe handoff after procedures.
• Communicate with physicians, patients, families, and team members about needs.
• Document results and complete required charges.
• Maintain and organize equipment and work areas; manage supplies.
• Identify equipment issues and coordinate repairs or replacements.
• Participate in quality improvement, continuing education, and development.
• Support training of other staff, fellows, and students when appropriate.
