Job summary

Healthforce is seeking a Cardiovascular Technologist – Echo Tech for a 13-week travel assignment in Saint Helena, CA. The role involves performing echocardiography, imaging heart structures, and reporting findings in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Starting 09/28/2026, schedule is 4x10-hour day shifts with 36 guaranteed hours per week. On-call 2-3 days weekly; pay is weekly and commensurate with experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent; preferred
• RDCS or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) credential: Required
• Echocardiography credential: Preferred
• BLS/CPR: Required
• 5+ years echocardiography experience; on-call 2-3 days per week
• Current nursing license per state of assignment; hospital setting experience

Responsibilities

• Set up ultrasound equipment and perform echocardiography studies to image heart structures and vessels; document data.
• Prepare patients: positioning, apply gel, attach electrodes, verify wave signals, record images.
• Interact with patients to gather history and provide instructions; ensure comfort and safety.
• Collaborate with cardiologists; perform exams, assess image quality, and report findings promptly.
• Maintain and organize equipment; restock supplies; manage scheduling and patient data in systems.
• Operate stress echo/cardiac treadmill imaging as required and stay current with education.
