Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing seeks a CVOR Surgical Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment in Cedar Rapids, IA. You’ll support cardiovascular surgeries, prepare the OR, maintain sterile technique, and work with a dedicated clinical team to ensure patient safety and efficient procedures.

The role requires one year of CVOR tech experience, BLS certification, and the ability to collaborate with surgeons and anesthesia teams.

Formación

• One year of recent experience as a CVOR surgical tech.
• Current BLS Certification (AHA/ ARC).
• CST or nationally recognized equivalent certification preferred.
• Other certifications and licenses may be required for this position.

Responsabilidades

• Set up the operating room prior to surgical procedures.
• Stock surgical supplies and inspect surgical machines and equipment to ensure proper functionality prior to procedures.
• Assist in transporting patients to and from surgery as required.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, perfusionists, and the surgical team to deliver coordinated care.
• Anticipate the surgeon’s needs, efficiently passing instruments to maintain procedural flow.
• Handle specimens with precision and care to maintain diagnostic integrity.
• Maintain sterility by cleaning and sterilizing instruments and equipment.
• Maintain proficiency in cardiovascular and cardiothoracic procedures, including open and closed heart surgeries.
