Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a travel CVOR Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Abilene, TX. This role offers 40 hours per week, days shift, and a chance to contribute to cardiovascular surgical teams while exploring new locations.

The CVOR tech will prepare the operating room, maintain sterile technique, pass instruments, and collaborate with surgeons and anesthesia to support patient safety during open and closed heart procedures.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as a CVOR surgical tech is required.
• Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC) required.

Responsibilities

• Set up the operating room prior to procedures.
• Stock and inspect surgical supplies and equipment for function.
• Assist in transporting patients to and from surgery.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the team to deliver coordinated care.
• Pass instruments efficiently to maintain workflow during procedures.
• Maintain sterility and follow infection control standards.
• Maintain proficiency in cardio-thoracic procedures and open/closed heart surgeries.
