MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel CVOR Technologist for a contract position in Lexington, Kentucky. This travel assignment requires 48 hours per week across 12-hour day shifts, with a 13-week duration beginning 11/30/2026.

The incumbent will scrub, assist as 2nd circulator, and Heart Holder, manage instruments, and support the CVOR team in open-heart procedures including CABG. CPR certification and CVOR experience are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Surgical Technology.
• Current CPR provider card.
• Minimum of eighteen months CVOR recent experience or completed clinical orientation for open-heart patient population.
• Knowledge of CVOR instrumentation for cardiac procedures.
• CABG and cardiac procedures.

Responsabilités

• Performs treatments per protocols.
• Scrubs, 2nd circulator, and Heart Holder roles in CVOR.
• Picks supplies, sets up instruments, and performs instrument and sponge counts.
• Obtains specimens and hands over to circulating nurse.
• Facilitates room turnover time.
• Participates in on-call schedule.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited School of Surgical Technology or 3 years recent experience working as a surgical technician in an acute care setting.
• Current CPR provider card.
• Must have a minimum of eighteen months of CVOR recent experience or completed clinical orientation specific to the surgical care of the open-heart patient population.
• Knowledge of CVOR instrumentation as it relates to specific cardiac surgical procedures and other procedures as needed.
• CABG and cardiac procedures.

Duties Responsibilities

• Performs treatments per protocols.
• Functions proficiently in scrubbing, 2nd circulating, and 3rd person/Heart Holder roles of the CVOR.
• Picks supplies for surgeries, sets up instruments and scrubs for surgical procedure, and performs instrument and sponge count accurately.
• Obtain specimens, hand over to circulating nurse and verifies location.
• Facilitates room turnover time.
• Participates in department on-call schedule.
