Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a cardiovascular operating room setting is preferred.
• North Dakota License, with eligibility as Unlicensed Assistive Person, RN, or LPN.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Travel experience is required, with a preference for candidates having completed at least three assignments.
• Local travelers are accepted.

Responsibilities

• Organize and prepare case set-up before surgical procedures, adhering to standard operating procedures.
• Assist the Registered Nurse with circulating duties such as preparing the surgical area, retrieving supplies, and printing pictures.
• Clean, assemble, operate, and care for instruments, supplies, and equipment used in various surgical specialties.
• Support the orientation and training of additional team members.
• Provide patient care aligned with the diagnosis and procedure, utilizing procedure cards while following established policies.
• Document changes in procedures on procedure cards after each case and manage the ordering and stocking of supplies.
• Participate in measuring and monitoring quality indicators and outcomes, serving as a subject matter expert in vascular and endovascular procedures.
• Identify and communicate unique techniques and instruments needed for surgeries, including complex life‑saving devices and equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned to meet the department's needs.
