Job summary

Sunbelt Staffing is seeking a travel CVOR Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. You will work in a high-volume CVOR/OR, assisting in cardiovascular and general procedures, maintaining sterile fields, and anticipating surgeon needs. Schedule features 4x10-hour days with rotating weekends and on-call requirements.

Qualified candidates will have 3–5 years CVOR experience, BLS (AHA), and strong multi-specialty proficiency. CST certification preferred.

Quick Glance

• Location: Milwaukee, Wisconsin
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Schedule: 4x10 Days (variable)
• Shift: Between 6:50 AM – 5:20 PM
• Setting: CVOR / Operating Room

What You’ll Do

• Assist in cardiovascular and general surgical procedures in a high-volume OR
• Maintain sterile field and prepare instruments, supplies, and equipment
• Anticipate surgeon needs and provide efficient intraoperative support
• Support multiple service lines including ENT, ortho, urology, neuro, and general surgery
• Participate in precepting staff as needed

Schedule & Details

• Variable 10-hour day shifts
• Rotating weekend coverage as needed
• On‑call required: minimum 1 weekday per week and every 3rd–4th weekend
• 30‑minute call response time
• Potential for in‑house call coverage, including overnight stays if needed
• Holiday coverage required as needed
• Orientation includes weekday daytime hours

Case Mix

• Cardiovascular (primary focus)
• ENT, orthopedic, urology, general surgery
• Craniofacial/plastics, neuro, ophthalmology
• Pediatric cases (preferred experience)
• High surgical volume, especially late afternoon/evening

Facility & Unit Overview

• 14 operating rooms + 3 specialty procedure rooms
• Busy surgical environment with a wide range of complex cases
• Collaborative, team-focused setting

Must‑Have Credentials

• BLS (AHA)
• 3–5 years of Surgical Tech experience in a hospital setting
• Strong CVOR experience required
• Experience across multiple surgical specialties

Preferred Qualifications

• CST certification (preferred, not required)
• Pediatric surgical experience
• Ability to adapt to high‑acuity and fast‑paced environments

Additional Requirements

• Flu vaccine required (or willingness to obtain)
• Professional appearance standards enforced (facility‑provided scrubs)
