Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN CVOR for a travel nursing job in Pueblo, Colorado. The right RN should have 1-2 years recent acute care experience.

As a CVOR RN, you'll provide professional CVOR care services to support a team of physicians, RNs and other medical staff. This assignment spans a fast-paced cardiothoracic setting with discretionary shifts and per-diem stipends as applicable.

Qualifications

• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• 2 years of relevant RN acute care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan and evaluate nursing care before, during and after a surgical procedure.
• Participate in the care of patients receiving conscious sedation.
• Administer prescribed medications, apply dressings, monitor vital signs.
• Assist physician during procedures.
• Maintain aseptic techniques and monitor for breaches in sterile technique.
• Coordinate the operating room with respect to sterility, equipment and supplies.
• Ensure proper handling of specimens.
