Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a CVOR RN in Tyler, Texas for a Trauma Level I hospital. This travel assignment requires 2+ years of CVOR experience, TX or compact RN licensure, and active BLS/ACLS certifications. 3x12-hour day shifts, 6:00 AM–4:30 PM, 36 hours per week, with Epic charting experience preferred.

CNOR certification is a plus; prior teaching hospital experience is valued. Compensation includes weekly pay, lodging, and meal stipends, with a competitive overall package for travel nurses.

Qualifications

• Active TX or compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• CNOR certification preferred
• 2+ years of relevant experience required
• Trauma Level I experience required
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• CVOR procedures including CABG, aortic aneurysm repair, mitral valve replacement, TAVR, IABP, and VAD (LVAD/RVAD)
• Experience with thoracic procedures including thoracotomy and VATS preferred
• Skilled in administration of blood and blood products, radiation safety, specimen handling, peripheral IV starts, universal protocol time-outs, and urinary catheterization

Responsibilities

• Work in the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) unit.
• Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (6:00 AM - 4:30 PM), 36 hours per week.
