Job summary

VyTalent Solutions is seeking a CVOR Registered Nurse for a travel assignment in Philadelphia, PA. This role requires extensive cardiac surgery experience, PA or Compact RN license, and certifications (ACLS/BLS/TNCC).

The position includes a 13-week contract, 40 hours per week, and a 4x10-hour shift pattern with on-call weekends. The CVOR RN will support cardiac surgery patients, coordinate with surgical teams, and document care in Epic.

Qualifications

• PA or Compact RN license required
• ACLS, BLS, and TNCC certifications required
• 2 years of RN experience required
• Trauma level II experience preferred
• Cardiac surgery experience including CABGs, valve repairs/replacements, heart transplants, dissections, LVADs

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care to cardiac surgery patients in the CVOR setting
• Prepare and monitor patients undergoing cardiac procedures including CABGs and transplants
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure safe and effective procedures
• Document patient care accurately using the Epic charting system
• Participate in on-call rotations, including weekends and holidays

Requirements: PA or Compact License required at time of submission; ACLS, BLS, and TNCC certifications required; 2 years of experience required; trauma level II experience required; Cardiac surgery experience including CABGs, Aortic/ Mitral Valve repairs/replacements, heart transplants, dissections, LVADs; Epic charting system; scrub and circulate Cardiac surgery; experience with cardiac procedures; first time travelers accepted with appropriate experience; on call Friday/Saturday/Sunday; average 2 weekends every 6 weeks with some vacation coverage; 1 winter and 1 summer holiday requirement; no floating; shift 4x10-hour days.
