Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a CVOR RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Houston, TX. The travel nurse will join a dedicated clinical team, provide perioperative care, and ensure patient safety throughout the surgical procedure.

The role requires one year of CVOR RN experience, valid RN license, and current BLS certification. Preferred ACLS and additional certifications may be required for this position. Comprehensive benefits are included with travel pay.

Qualifications

• One year of recent CVOR RN experience.
• Valid RN license per state regulations.
• Current BLS (AHA/ARC) certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect nursing care before, during, and after the surgical procedure.
• Support the surgical team to ensure sterility and proper equipment function.
• Position patients safely and assist with draping and exposure.
• Coordinate post-surgical handoff to the recovery team.
• Adhere to universal protocol and patient safety procedures.
• Respond to intraoperative emergencies and adapt to changing conditions.
