Job Summary:
Operating Room Open Heart (OR OH) in a fast-paced healthcare facility. This position involves providing specialized surgical care for cardiac, thoracic, and vascular cases, primarily involving open heart procedures. The role requires experienced registered nurses capable of handling emergent cases and working within a dynamic environment to support complex surgeries.

Job Details:

• Shift: 12-hour days
• Schedule: 36 hours per week, start date 10/26/2026, end date 01/25/2027
• Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license in the state, minimum of 2 years of professional experience with operating room and open heart procedures, scrub and circulate experience required, cardiac and thoracic case experience, BLS and ACLS certifications, experience with transplant surgeries (liver, kidney, pancreas) preferred, trauma level I experience required, required to float within service line, high-volume and emergent case environment.
• Preferred Qualifications: BSN degree, thoracic and vascular surgical experience, experience with hybrid OR procedures, transplant procedures, and handling high-acuity cardiac cases.
• Additional Information: Must work within a fast-paced surgical department with emergent cases, handle complex procedures including heart and lung transplants, vascular and Whipple procedures, and participate in on-call rotations as needed. Scrub and circulate experience is mandated. Shift times are rotating as needed, with a maximum of 4 call shifts during the schedule. Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
