Job summary

MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN CVICU for a travel assignment in San Antonio, Texas. The position lasts 13 weeks, with 36 hours per week on a 12-hour day shift, and a travel compensation package is provided.

The CVICU RN will administer medications, monitor patient status, and coordinate care with cardiothoracic teams, including post-open heart and transplant patients. Requirements include an active RN license, BLS & ACLS certifications, and 18 months CVICU experience.

Qualifications

• Active RN License
• Degree from accredited nursing program
• BLS & ACLS Certifications
• Eighteen months of recent experience in an Acute Care CVICU setting

Responsibilities

• Administer care for CVICU patients, monitor vital signs and notify physicians of changes
• Provide care for patients after open-heart surgery
• Care for heart transplant patients and educate families
