Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN CVICU for a 13-week assignment in Odessa, Texas. This 36-hour/week, night-shift travel role requires ACLS and BLS with 1–2 years of acute care experience.

As a CVICU Travel Nurse, you will care for patients after open-heart procedures, perform medications, collect diagnostic samples, and respond to emergencies. TotalMed offers weekly pay, guaranteed hours, continuing education, and a 401k plan.

Qualifications

• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• 1–2 years of recent acute care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide critical care to patients with potentially life-threatening heart conditions.
• Prepare and administer prescribed medications.
• Take samples for diagnostic tests; order, interpret and evaluate diagnostic tests.
• Apply hemodynamic, phlebotomy and IV protocols.
• Be called in for emergencies to provide CPR and operate defibrillators hospital-wide.
• Educate patients and family members on how to manage recovery at home.
