Job summary

TotalMed RN in Great Falls, MT is seeking a travel nurse RN CVICU for a 13-week assignment. The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of acute care experience and be able to work 12-hour nights in a fast-paced cardiovascular ICU.

As a CVICU Travel Nurse, you will care for patients after open-heart surgery and heart transplants, administer medications, monitor diagnostic tests, and respond to emergencies. This role offers a tax-free stipend and a flexible schedule with weekly pay through TotalMed

Qualifications

1-2 years of acute care experience required.
CVICU experience preferred.
Able to work 12-hour night shifts.

Responsibilities

Provide critical care to patients with potentially life-threatening heart conditions.
Prepare and administer prescribed medications.
Take samples for diagnostic tests; order, interpret and evaluate diagnostic tests.
Apply hemodynamic, phlebotomy and IV protocols.
Be called in for emergencies to provide CPR and operate defibrillators hospital-wide.
Educate patients and family members on how to manage recovery at home.
