Job summary

Modern Healthcare Solutions is seeking a travel nurse RN CVICU for a travel assignment in Rockford, Illinois. The position is 13 weeks with 36 hours per week on a 12-hour night shift (7:00 PM–7:30 AM). Start date ASAP and travel benefits apply.

The ideal candidate has ICU experience, holds an Illinois RN license, and certifications in CPR, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale. Floating to Step-Down ICU as needed is expected, with focus on patient safety and high-quality care.

Qualifications

• 2.0 years ICU experience required
• Current Illinois RN License
• CPR Certification
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (education verification required)

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process and collaborates with interdisciplinary team members in patient care.
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments according to established nursing techniques, policies, procedures, and state laws/practice act.
• Documents patient care in accordance with standards.
• Develops, initiates, and executes individualized patient care plans as prescribed by physicians and/or hospital policies, including patient and family education.
• Participates in department or unit performance improvement activities, including shared governance.
• Provides clinical expertise and guidance in support of the patient's longitudinal plan of care across other units/departments.
• Employs critical thinking for patient safety and experience, appropriately escalating issues through the chain of command.
