Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN CVICU for a travel nursing job in Madison, Wisconsin. The position is a travel assignment with 36 hours per week on 12-hour night shifts for 13 weeks. The ideal candidate has 1-2 years of acute care CVICU experience and ACLS/BLS certifications.

The role involves critical care duties, medication administration, diagnostic testing, and family education. The total compensation includes a tax-free stipend in addition to base pay.

Qualifications

• RN with 1-2 years of acute care CVICU experience
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Willingness to travel for assignments

Responsibilities

• Provide critical care to patients with life-threatening cardiac conditions.
• Prepare and administer prescribed medications.
• Collect samples for diagnostic tests and interpret results.
• Apply hemodynamic, phlebotomy, and IV protocols.
• Respond to emergencies, perform CPR and operate defibrillators.
• Educate patients and families on post-discharge care.
