Job summary

MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN CVICU for a travel nursing job in Peoria, Illinois. This opportunity places you in a high-acuity ICU setting with 12-hour night shifts and a 36-hour weekly schedule for a 13-week contract.

Start date is 09/28/2026, with compensation and benefits designed for travel nurses, including housing or housing allowance, health insurance, travel reimbursement, and a 401(k) plan.

Qualifications

Active RN License is required.
BLS & ACLS Certification required.
Eighteen months of recent experience in an Acute Care ICU setting is expected.

Responsibilities

Provide patient care and education to patients and families.
Ensure proper functioning of life support equipment such as ventilators and feeding tubes.
Monitor heart rate, blood pressure, and respirations for signs of distress.
Administer medications and IVs; insert catheters as needed.
Document medication administration meticulously.
Assist in emergency nursing procedures to control changes in patient condition.
Perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation accurately.
