Qualifications

• The candidate has at least 1 year of CVICU RN experience.
• Valid RN license compliant with state regulations.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor critically ill patients, recognizing and responding to changes in condition.
• Administer complex medications and treatments per critical care nursing techniques.
• Operate and manage advanced life support equipment.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort in high-acuity ICU settings.
• Record significant conditions, reactions, and interventions for provider notification.
• Perform advanced hemodynamic monitoring, including arterial lines and CVP.
• Document assessments and interventions accurately in the medical record.
• Educate patients and families about ICU care and recovery expectations.
• Communicate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize care.
• Maintain proficiency in critical care procedures and technologies.
• Adhere to infection control protocols to protect immunocompromised patients.
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives in ICU outcomes.
• Perform other duties as assigned within scope.
• Adhere to hospital safety protocols and regulatory standards.
