TotalMed RN in Austin, TX is seeking a travel CVICU RN for a 13-week assignment. This 12-hour night shift role runs 36 hours per week in a fast-paced ICU.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of acute care experience and certifications such as ACLS, BLS, and NIH. You will care for patients after open-heart procedures and transplants, perform critical care tasks, administer meds, and educate families.

Formación

• ACLS certification required.
• BLS certification required.
• NIH certification required.
• 2 years acute care experience required.

Responsabilidades

• Provide critical care to patients with potentially life-threatening heart conditions.
• Prepare and administer prescribed medications.
• Take samples for diagnostic tests; order, interpret and evaluate diagnostic tests.
• Apply hemodynamic, phlebotomy and IV protocols.
• Be called in for emergencies to provide CPR and operate defibrillators hospital-wide.
• Educate patients and family members on post-discharge care.
