Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing seeks a CVICU RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Reston, VA. The ICU RN delivers critical care to patients in the CVICU, monitors life-support equipment, administers advanced treatments, and collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• 1 year of recent CVICU nursing experience
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications

Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor critically ill patients in CVICU
• Administer complex medications and treatments according to critical care nursing techniques
• Operate and manage advanced life support equipment
• Document care and patient responses in the medical record and communicate changes to the provider
• Educate patients and families about the ICU environment, treatments, and recovery expectations
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient care
• Maintain proficiency in critical care procedures and technologies through ongoing education and training
• Adhere to infection control protocols to protect immunocompromised patients and reduce risks
• Engage in quality improvement initiatives to enhance ICU patient outcomes and operational efficiency
• Perform other duties as assigned within scope
• Adhere to hospital safety protocols and regulatory standards
