Job Details

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a CVICU RN for a 13‑week travel assignment in Lafayette, Indiana. The role offers competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and support from a dedicated clinical team.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations

• TNCC, NIHSS certifications
• Other certifications or licenses may be required

Summary

The ICU Registered Nurse provides comprehensive critical care to patients in the intensive care unit, including assessment, monitoring, life‑support equipment operation, advanced treatments, and multidisciplinary collaboration to ensure patient safety and professional ethics.

Essential Work Functions

• Assess and monitor critically ill patients
• Administer complex medications and treatments
• Operate and manage advanced life support equipment
• Ensure patient safety and comfort in high‑acuity ICU environments
• Record significant conditions, interventions, and notify providers of changes
• Perform and interpret advanced hemodynamic monitoring (arterial lines, central venous pressure, pulmonary artery catheters)
• Accurately document all assessments and interventions in the medical record
• Provide education to patients and families
• Communicate closely with interdisciplinary teams
• Maintain proficiency in critical care procedures and technologies
• Adhere to strict infection control protocols
• Engage in quality improvement initiatives
• Perform other duties as assigned within scope
• Adhere to hospital safety protocols and regulatory standards

Required Essential Skills

• Ability to read, write, and comprehend written instructions

• Remain in stationary position, move equipment (50–100 lbs), push, pull, bend
