Gifted Healthcare is seeking a CVICU Registered Nurse for travel assignments in Phoenix, AZ. The CVICU RN will work closely with doctors and heart specialists to manage blood pressure and prevent heart failure, while educating families and coordinating care with the medical team.

The role involves administering medications, operating cardiovascular equipment, and responding to life-threatening situations as part of a high-acuity CVICU team.

Qualifications

• Licensed RN with CVICU experience preferred.
• Knowledge of cardiovascular care and patient monitoring.
• Ability to interpret monitoring data and respond to changes.

Responsibilities

Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) Registered Nurses (RNs) work closely with doctors and heart specialists to control patients' blood pressure and to prevent heart failure. The CVICU RN provides education and support to families and patients while acting as a liaison between the doctors and the patients. CVICU RN job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Assess a patient's condition and implement care plan while observing and recording patients' vital signs
• Administer medication and operate cardiovascular equipment like oxygenation machines and balloon pumps
