Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist with ARRT-CT certification for a 13-week night shift assignment at a Level II Trauma Center in Montgomery, AL. You will work in a busy radiology department with a mix of inpatient and ED patients, performing trauma imaging and angiograms.

Requirements include ARRT-CT, BLS, state licensure if applicable, and 2+ years of relevant experience; first-time travelers may require 2 years.

Qualifications

  • ARRT-CT certification required; state license preferred if applicable
  • BLS and ARRT certification required
  • 1 year of experience preferred for candidates with limited experience
  • 2 years of experience required for first-time travelers
  • Experience with biopsy drainage, trauma imaging and angiograms
  • Stroke perfusion experience strongly preferred
  • Cerner EMR experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Level II Trauma Center, Level III NICU, and Primary Stroke Center with 492 beds
  • Work in the main Radiology department, rotating through different areas
  • Inpatient and outpatient adult population, with occasional pediatric patients
  • Average caseload of 4 patients per hour, about 40 per day
  • 1:1 patient ratio
  • Procedures include biopsy drainage, trauma imaging and angiograms; stroke perfusion preferred
  • All GE CT equipment
  • Uses Cerner EMR
  • 12-hour night shifts, 36 hours per week, Friday-Sunday starting at 9:00 PM
  • Weekend rotation varies, typically once a month
  • Voluntary on-call requirement
  • May float throughout the hospital as needed
  • One 8-hour orientation followed by 2-3 shifts with another tech
  • Holiday coverage includes one major and one minor seasonal holiday
  • Any color scrubs permitted
  • Free parking available
  • First-time travelers considered with at least 2 years of relevant experience
  • Candidates must live outside a 60-mile radius of the facility
  • Former staff may return after 6 months
