Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking a Multi-Modality CT Technologist with ARRT-R certification and proficiency in at least two advanced imaging modalities.

The role is based in California with responsibilities spanning CT, X-ray, ultrasound, MRI, nuclear medicine, and mammography within a hospital imaging unit. The ideal candidate holds an associate degree in radiologic technology, has ARRT-R certification for CA/HI, and can perform at least three imaging modalities.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree required; Bachelor's or Master's preferred.
• 3 years technical experience preferred.
• Current BLS/CPR certification required.
• RT license in state of practice required.
• ARRT-R certification required in CA and HI.
• Current certification in at least one imaging modality and ability to perform duties in at least one additional advanced modality (CT, Mammography, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, Sonography, or PET) required in CA and HI.
• Must be able to perform at least three imaging modalities competently.

Responsibilities

• Work in the CT Scan department of a hospital-based medical imaging unit.
• Perform x-ray, computed tomography, ultrasound, MRI, nuclear medicine, and/or mammography procedures as needed.
• Day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
• Perform mobile imaging examinations as necessary.
• Responsible for operating x-ray, CT, ultrasound, MRI, nuclear medicine, and/or mammography equipment to support departmental goals.
• Safely transport and transfer patients between gurneys and wheelchairs.
• Test defibrillator and check integrity of crash cart as needed.
• Safely prepare contrast agents for imaging procedures.
• Participate in a collaborative medical imaging team environment.
• Required vaccinations are a condition of employment, with medical and religious exemptions considered.
• Accepts local candidates at the same rate as travel positions.
• Candidates with more than 5 days of requested time off will not be considered.
• Candidates with a prior adverse licensure action will not be considered.
