Job summary

Cross Country Allied seeks a travel CT Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Detroit, MI. The role involves performing CT and related radiology procedures, patient preparation, contrast administration, and image delivery with PACS/RIS documentation. Rotating 12-hour shifts, 36 hours weekly, with two weekend expectations.

Requirements include HS diploma or GED, BLS, ARRT CT registration (or eligibility), and ongoing CME. Preference for Level 1 trauma experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• BLS certification.
• ARRT registration in CT or eligibility for advanced CT registry.
• Continuing medical education hours must be maintained.

Responsibilities

• Performs computerized tomographic radiological procedures and may perform general diagnostic radiology examinations.
• Explains procedures, reviews clinical information, prepares patients, and obtains additional medical history as needed.
• Administers intravenous contrast media using power injectors and monitors patients for potential reactions.
• Assists with complex sterile diagnostic procedures, including biopsies.
• Applies radiation protection and dose-reduction techniques.
• Ensures high-quality image delivery through the PACS.
• Completes study indexing and documentation in the RIS and medical records.
• May work in a fixed unit or mobile unit and may encounter radiation and lifting of equipment.
