American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist to join a hospital-based CT scan department for a 13-week night shift assignment. The role requires ARRT (CT) certification, BLS, and a minimum of 2 years CT experience, with KY or IN state licensing as applicable.

The position offers a night schedule (7:00 PM–7:30 AM, Fri–Sun) and a benefits package including healthcare, 401(k), housing stipend, and travel-related reimbursements.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required.
• License to practice in KY or IN; may be obtained after acceptance.
• Strong knowledge of human anatomy and physiology.

• Skilled in image quality assessment and quality control techniques.

Responsibilities

• Hospital-based CT Scan department.
• Night shift, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, Friday through Sunday.
• 3 shifts per week, 12 hours per shift, totaling 36 hours per week.
• Utilize imaging, computer, and other equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images meeting department and industry standards.
• Verify ordered exams for appropriateness using assessment data and growth and development principles.
• Administer contrast and position patients and equipment to achieve optimal images.
• Collaborate with physicians to evaluate images and determine if additional imaging is needed.
• Apply radiation safety techniques and devices to minimize exposure to patients and staff.
• Prepare patients for procedures, provide education, and respond to questions or concerns using an age-appropriate communication approach.
• Oversee and train students in patient care, treatment, and imaging services as part of their clinical training.
