Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel CT Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Wausau, Wisconsin. This role requires 1 year of CT experience, BLS, and ARRT (CT) certification with state licensing where required. You will work 10-hour days, 40 hours per week, as a travel professional.

Responsibilities include performing CT scans, preparing patients, and ensuring image quality for physicians. Strong patient care and safety practices are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have 1 year of experience.
• Must have BLS, ARRT (CT) National Certification with registration in computed tomography, and state-specific licensing when required.
• CT Techs should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time and have knowledge of anatomy, physiology and medical terminology.
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.

• Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests and explain procedures to patients.
• Interpret doctors' written instructions and position patients for scans.
• Operate CT equipment to capture diagnostic images of internal organs and tissues.
• Administer radiocontrast agents to enhance visibility.
• Evaluate CT scans for technical quality and maintain patient records.
• Follow safety procedures related to radiation and use of the PACS system

We are looking for a Computed Tomography Technologist (CT Tech) for an immediate travel opening in Wausau, WI. The right CT Tech must have 1 year of experience. Read below for additional requirements.

As a CT Tech, you will be responsible for the use of computed tomography equipment and ensuring that images are accurate and passed on to physicians for medical interpretation. CT Techs are also responsible for the preparation of and caring for patients undergoing CT scanning.

Tasks

As a CT Tech, you should be prepared to perform the following tasks:

• Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests and explain imaging procedures to patients, providing reassurance and support as required
• Correctly interpret doctors' written instructions
• Appropriately position patients to scan specific areas of their bodies
• Use computerized tomography equipment to capture diagnostic images of patients' internal organs and tissues
• Administer radiocontrast agents to patients to enhance the visibility of internal organs and tissues
• Evaluate CT scans to determine whether they are of good technical quality
• Follow safety procedures when working with radiation
• Maintain accurate patient records
• Understand and use the McKesson PACS system

Requirements

Must have 1 year of experience. Must have BLS, ARRT (CT) National Certification with registration in computed tomography, and state-specific licensing when required.

CT Techs should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, bend, lean or stoop easily. CT Techs must have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.
