Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with 2+ years of experience and ARRT (R) certification to perform CT imaging across evening and night shifts.

Details

• Work in the CT Tech unit at an acute care facility
• Patient population includes neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
• Evening shift 4x10 hours (13:30-00:00) and/or night shift 4x10 hours (22:00-08:00), including weekends
• Perform CT examinations according to physician orders and protocols
• Assist with CT-guided procedures and perform venipuncture and contrast/medication administration
• Document care accurately in the electronic health record (EHR)
• Utilize PACS and GE imaging equipment for transmitting, archiving, and retrieving digital images

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a CT Technologist required
• ARRT (R) certification required
• BLS certification required
• CA CRT license required if applicable
• Radiology Fluoroscopy certification required within 180 days of hire
• Venipuncture certification required
• Associate's degree in Radiologic Sciences or equivalent experience from a Joint Commission approved School of Radiologic Technology
• Proficiency in cross-sectional anatomy and physiology required
• Knowledge of radiation safety and isolation precautions/PPE required
• Experience with image display and post-processing techniques preferred, including 3D rendering and multiplanar reconstruction

Additional Information

• Coordinate and produce quality CT studies for interpreting physicians
• Assess and educate patients prior to exams to ensure safety and cooperation
• Work with high-risk and critically ill patients across all age groups
• Previous experience in an acute care facility preferred
• Demonstrate proficiency with multiple computerized systems and PACS
• Ensure accurate charge capture and documentation
• Comply with all Federal, State, and local regulatory requirements
• Accepts local candidates within a 50-mile radius
• Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, with only 1 holiday request approved per contract
• First-time travelers may be considered for this position
