The role requires ARRT certification, NJ license, BLS, and CT experience with PACS proficiency; travel housing and benefits are provided. Schedule includes nights with 40 hours per week and on-call as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Radiologic Technologist program, NJ DEP Diagnostic Radiography License, ARRT R.T.(R) license, and BLS certification.
• Six months CT experience preferred.
• Knowledge of anatomy, radiological positioning, CT software/hardware, and PACS.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex CT procedures and review patient history.
• Prepare and screen patients, verify prescriptions, and coordinate with physicians.
• Administer contrast and monitor patients during procedures.
• Operate imaging equipment, evaluate radiographs, and ensure proper prep.
• Perform venipuncture, IV maintenance, and ensure patient safety during scans.
• Document procedures and ensure compliance with hospital policies.
• Overtime and on-call may be required; lift as needed.
• Communicate effectively with diverse patient populations.

Job Summary

The CT Technologist position is located in the CT specialty. This role involves performing complex computed tomography (CT) procedures, producing sectional and three-dimensional images for interpretation, and assisting with interventional and therapeutic procedures. The technologist ensures high-quality imaging while adhering to safety and clinical protocols.

Job Details

• Schedule: Nights shift, Monday through Thursday, 9:00 PM 7:30 AM, with 40 hours per week and required weekend shifts.
• Required Qualifications: Graduate of a Radiologic Technologist program, High School diploma or equivalent, NJ DEP Diagnostic Radiography License, ARRT Certified R.T.(R) license, and American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
• Knowledge of anatomy and physiology, radiological positioning, mechanical attributes of CT software and hardware, and proficiency with PACS system.
• Maintains continuing education credits and is expected to achieve ARRT (CT) certification within twelve months of hire.
• Preferred Qualifications: Six months of CT experience, knowledge of Epic and other HIS/RIS systems.
• Responsibilities:

  • Administers contrast media as prescribed and monitors patient during procedures

  • Ensures compliance with hospital policies, documents procedures accurately, and adheres to organizational standards
  • Includes overtime and on-call as needed; lifts weight as required for patient safety and equipment handling
  • Communicates effectively with diverse patient populations, addressing individual needs
