Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a Level II trauma acute care facility, requiring ARRT-CT certification and 2+ years of experience.

Details

• Acute care setting within a Level II trauma facility
• Radiology department with 4 GE CT scanners: 2 inpatient, 1 outpatient (connected to facility), and 1 in the ED
• Patient population includes inpatient, outpatient, and emergent cases
• Outpatient volume averages 12-14 scans per day
• In-house procedure machine handles about 10 patients per day
• ED CT machine averages about 40 scans across all shifts
• Uses Epic EMR and McKesson PACS system
• No floating required outside of the 4 CT scanners
• Night shift schedule, Monday-Thursday, 9:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Minimal call requirement
• Weekend coverage per contract
• Holiday coverage in rotation
• Radiology supervisor or lead tech available as a resource, except during overnight or weekend shifts
• Radiologist on-site during the day and on-call after hours

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years experience as a CT Technologist
• BLS certification required
• ARRT-CT certification required
• ARRT-R certification required
• License required if applicable
• Experience working with trauma patients required
• IV start skills preferred but not required
• Active state or compact (NLC) license required for the state of submission; pending licenses not accepted
• Driver's license copy required for consideration
• Two professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months worked and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years worked, including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire

Additional Information

• Perform CT scans for inpatient, outpatient, and emergent patient populations
• One week department-specific orientation provided, with the goal of ensuring a resource is available for questions
• Scrubs provided
• Radiation badge required and is the responsibility of the traveler's employer, as the facility does not provide one
• Rad badge not required for this unit
