MedPro Healthcare Allied Staffing is seeking a travel CT Technologist for a assignment in Jerome, Idaho. The role requires CT imaging duties, patient positioning, contrast administration, and collaboration with radiology staff for high-quality imaging.

Position is a 13-week travel assignment with 40 hours weekly, nights shift (10 hours). ARRT/ASRT CT certification and 18 months CT experience are required, with licensure as applicable.

Qualifications

• Eighteen months of CT experience in a health care setting.
• ARRT (CT) or ASRT CT certification required.
• Licensure may be required in most states.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Position patients for CT scans using immobilization and protective equipment.
• Set controls for CT equipment and monitor patient during procedures.
• Assist radiologist with imaging procedures and contrast administration.
• Dispense oral contrast for CT scans as needed.
• Assist radiologist with interventional CT procedures.
• Evaluate CT images for technical quality and label sequences correctly.
• Schedule patients and assist with clerical tasks.
• Charge procedures and supplies to patient records.
• Operate power injections for contrast media administration.
• Provide high-quality, cost-effective patient care and maintain a safe environment.

Duties Responsibilities

CT technologists, operate CT equipment, which produces cross-sectional images of patients' bones, organs and tissue that are used to diagnose medical conditions.

• Positioning patients for CT scans using immobilization and protective equipment as necessary
• Appropriately setting the controls of the related equipment, monitoring equipment and patient, making adjustments as necessary
• Assisting radiologist with imaging procedures, starting IVs, and injecting contrast, if applicable
• Dispensing oral contrast to patients for CT scans
• Assisting radiologist with interventional CT procedures
• Evaluating CT scans for technical quality, collating processed images in sequence of exposure and appropriately labeling
• Scheduling patients for procedures and assisting with some clerical functions
• Charging procedures and supplies used to the patient record
• Loading and operating power injections for contrast media administration
• Delivers quality, cost effective patient care in a professional manner.
• Works effectively to maintain an environment of excellence, which is patient focused, providing timely, compassionate, quality patient care.
• Promotes and maintains a safe work environment for both staff and customers, incorporating national patient safety initiatives.
