Responsibilities include patient monitoring, executing specialized CT procedures, maintaining image quality, and ensuring accurate RIS/EMR updates. Must hold ARRT CT, CRT and fluoroscopy licenses and BLS certification, with venipuncture skills preferred.

Qualifications

• Credentialed CT technologist with ARRT (CT) and CRT licensure.
• Venipuncture proficiency and BLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced CT procedures and ensure high-quality imaging.

ob Summary: Under the direction of the CT Supervisor, the incumbent performs the full range advanced diagnostic imaging procedures exclusively in Computed Tomography (CT), ensuring high-quality imaging and patient care in accordance with departmental protocols and clinical standards. May be assigned to work in ambulatory clinics. Job Responsibilities: -Monitors patients, diagnostic procedures, and imaging equipment making necessary adjustments to ensure patient safety, image quality, and optimal diagnostic results. -Effectively performs a variety of specialized CT procedures such as: Arthrograms, Myelograms, CT Angiogram (Cerebral, Carotid, Thoracic, Abdominal, and musculoskeletal), as well as routine examination and research studies, etc. ensuring optimal imaging. -Sets parameters in accordance with established protocols and physician orders. -Assist with special procedures (Interventional Radiography) and the care of the patient within scope of licensure. -Support with procedural documentation and ensure timely and accurate test results. -Applies radiation safety practices such as the ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) principles, minimizing exposure whenever possible and ensuring appropriate use of shielding. -Effectively manages patients during procedures. -Positions patients as necessary to ensure accurate testing in consideration of age. -Coordinates patient requirements during diagnostic procedures and/or transportation to ensure patient safety. -Effectively determines patient need based on age-specific criteria. -Maintains a sterile environment and ensures effective PPE for each patient. -Provides accurate theoretical and practical instruction to resident physicians, CT students and CT staff, supporting ongoing education, skill development, and clinical competency. Performs thorough procedural due diligence to ensure all images are properly processed and archived, and that RIS/EMR systems are updated with accurate information as it relates to the patient's medical record and billing.
