ARMStaffing is seeking a travel CT Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Farrell, PA. The role involves performing CT imaging, contrast administration, and patient care with rotating 12-hour shifts.

The ideal candidate has ARRT CNMT credentials, a CT registry within 18 months, and at least 2 years of CT experience. Travel compensation includes housing and travel benefits.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ARRT-approved school of Radiologic Technology or CNMT program.
• CT registry must be acquired within 18 months of hire or certification date.
• Minimum of 2 years of CT experience required.
• ARRT Certificate and NMTC required.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures using established protocols and contrast administration.
• Adjust protocols based on judgment for optimal diagnostic results.
• Operate CT equipment for acquisition, analysis, reconstruction and documentation of images.
• Perform venipuncture and use power injectors per protocols.
• Administer PO, rectal, and IV contrast and assess patient risk before administration.
• Communicate clearly with patients to reduce anxiety during procedures.
• Identify patients using two identifiers and follow universal protocols.
• Document patient history in electronic records and ensure proper exam coding.
• Complete charges accurately for exams performed.

CT TechJob Description

The CT Tech will independently perform imaging procedures, competently executing a variety of technical tasks that require independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative while applying prescribed ionizing radiation for diagnostic purposes.

Responsibilities

• Perform computed tomography procedures utilizing established scan protocols, including contrast administration.
• Adjust protocols as necessary based on independent judgment to ensure optimal diagnostic results.
• Utilize complex imaging equipment for the acquisition, analysis, reconstruction, and documentation of image data.
• Demonstrate proper technique in venipuncture and ensure appropriate use of power injectors according to set protocols.
• Administer PO, rectal, and IV contrast per physician orders and assess patients for potential risk factors prior to administration.
• Interact compassionately with patients and co-workers, displaying a high level of caring, listening, dignity, and respect.
• Communicate instructions to patients clearly and concisely to help alleviate their fears and encourage cooperation during procedures.
• Identify all patients properly using two patient identifiers and utilize universal protocols during procedures.
• Document patient history in electronic records as required and ensure proper coding of exams.
• Complete all charges accurately for exams performed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Graduate of an ARRT-approved school of Radiologic Technology or completion of an accredited CNMT program.
• CT registry must be acquired within 18 months of the date the primary registry was obtained or date of hire if the primary registry is already obtained.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience is required.
• ARRT Certificate and Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification (NMTC) are required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Schedule

This position operates on a rotating shift of 8 hours per day, 5 days a week.
