Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform abdomen, pelvis, chest, head/neck CT procedures with/without contrast.
• 3D rendering and post-processing; coronary CTA and IV starts as needed.
• Maintain radiation safety and image quality in a fast-paced setting.
• Prepare and administer contrast media and manage PPE/isolation precautions.

Job Summary

The CT Tech (Computed Tomography Technologist) position is based in the healthcare facility and involves performing a variety of CT imaging procedures to support adult acute care, outpatient, ICU, emergency department, and Level I Trauma patient care. The role requires maintaining safety and image quality standards while working in a fast-paced clinical environment on the third shift.

Job Details

• Position/ Specialty: CT Tech CT Technologist
• Shift: Nights, 3 12-hour shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:0 AM, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: ARRT, ARRT-CT, BLS certifications; active Illinois state license or in application process with ETA; minimum 2 years experience; valid drivers license in the state of Illinois; Bachelors or Associates degree in Radiologic Sciences or related field; no minimum experience requirement otherwise
• Schedule: Nights, 12‑hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week
• Required Work Setting Experience: Adult acute care, adult outpatient, ICU, emergency department, Level I trauma center
• Required Skills and Procedures: Abdomen and pelvis scans with and without contrast, chest scans with and without contrast, head and neck scans, vascular chest imaging, advanced image display and post‑processing skills including 3D rendering and multiplanar reconstruction, and performing procedures like coronary CTA and starting peripheral IVs
• Additional Responsibilities: Ensuring radiation safety, preparing and administering contrast media, maintaining PPE and isolation precautions, and working within scope to meet facility needs
