Med Ninjas is seeking a travel CT Technologist for a travel assignment in Cumming, Georgia. This 13‑week position requires 36 hours per week with 12‑hour night shifts at a facility in Cumming, GA. The role is travel-based, with a tax-free stipend to be determined by the client.

Responsibilities

• Patient Preparation: Verify patient identity, check medical history, screen for allergies and pregnancy status.
• Scan Operation: Position patients, minimize motion, set scan parameters and operate CT scanner.
• Contrast Administration: Prepare and administer IV or oral contrast and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Image Quality & Processing: Reconstruct images (MPR, MIP, 3D) and send to PACS.
• Safety Protocol: Follow ALARA radiation safety guidelines.
• Equipment Maintenance: Daily warm-ups, quality control, phantom tests, report faults.
• Collaboration: Work with radiologists, nurses, and physicians to relay findings.

Job Responsibilities

• Patient Preparation: Verify patient identity, check medical history, screen for allergies (such as contrast dye or iodine), and evaluate pregnancy status.
• Scan Operation: Position patients properly, minimize motion artifacts, set scan parameters, and operate the CT scanner.
• Contrast Administration: Prepare and administer IV or oral contrast agents as prescribed while monitoring patients for adverse reactions.
• Image Quality & Processing: Reconstruct images (such as MPR, MIP, and 3D views) and send completed studies to the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS).
• Safety Protocol: Follow ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) radiation safety guidelines to protect patients and staff.
• Equipment Maintenance: Perform daily machine warm-ups, quality control checks, water phantom tests, and report mechanical faults.
• Collaboration: Work closely with radiologists, nurses, and attending physicians to relay critical findings immediately.
