Responsibilities

• Position patients for CT scans using immobilization and protective equipment as necessary.
• Appropriately set the controls of the related equipment, monitor equipment and patient, and make adjustments as needed.
• Assist radiologists with imaging procedures, including starting IVs and injecting contrast when applicable.
• Dispense oral contrast to patients for CT scans.
• Assist with interventional CT procedures.
• Evaluate CT scans for technical quality, collate processed images in the sequence of exposure, and appropriately label.
• Schedule patients for procedures and assist with clerical functions.
• Charge procedures and supplies used to the patient record.
• Load and operate power injections for contrast media administration.
• Deliver quality, cost‑effective patient care in a professional manner.
• Maintain an environment of excellence, patient‑focused, providing timely, compassionate, quality care.
• Promote and maintain a safe work environment for both staff and patients, incorporating national patient safety initiatives.
