MedPro Healthcare Allied Staffing is seeking a travel CT Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Aiken, South Carolina. The veteran tech will work 36 hours per week on 12-hour day shifts and join a national travel staffing program with full credentialing support.

The role requires 18+ months CT tech experience, ARRT (CT) or ASRT certification, and licensure in most states. Independent work and collaboration with radiology teams are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 18+ months CT Tech experience in a healthcare setting.
• ARRT (CT) or ASRT certification required; licensure in most states may be required.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Position patients for CT scans with proper immobilization and safety.
• Set controls and monitor equipment; adjust as needed for optimal image quality.
• Assist radiologist with imaging procedures and IVs/contrast as applicable.
• Provide oral contrast to patients for CT procedures.
• Assist with interventional CT procedures when required.
• Evaluate CT images for technical quality and properly label/sequence images.
• Schedule patients and assist with clerical tasks; record procedures and charges.

Duties Responsibilities

CT technologists, operate CT equipment, which produces cross-sectional images of patients' bones, organs and tissue that are used to diagnose medical conditions.

• Positioning patients for CT scans using immobilization and protective equipment as necessary
• Appropriately setting the controls of the related equipment, monitoring equipment and patient, making adjustments as necessary
• Assisting radiologist with imaging procedures, starting IVs, and injecting contrast, if applicable
• Dispensing oral contrast to patients for CT scans
• Assisting radiologist with interventional CT procedures
• Evaluating CT scans for technical quality, collating processed images in sequence of exposure and appropriately labeling
• Scheduling patients for procedures and assisting with some clerical functions
